broken image

This is a major update so lots of work was put into the new features but it did also include bug fixes. Adobe only publishes the ones that were reported by users. Lightroom Classic 7.3.1: Preset Export problem; Lightroom Classic CC: JPEG Identity Plate does not print when set to Render Behind Image. Lightroom 10: New Features in Review. Whenever Adobe bumps Lightroom's major version number I'm a little bit annoyed. Because certain plugin registrations are tied to the major version number, it means these plugins return to their 'trial' status, and I have to pay again to unlock them.:P It's not a large. Adobe Lightroom CC is the new online cloud-based version of Adobe's Lightroom application and can be installed alongside Lightroom Classic CC. It is included in the same US$9.99/month photography plan, but has limited editing features in comparison to Lightroom Classic CC. It can be installed on desktops, laptops, iPad and mobile.

Adobe has rolled out several updates to Lightroom, Lightroom Classic, and Raw Classic as a part of their continued efforts to improve the user experience for its macOS and iPad apps.

Classic Raw and Lightroom Classic have each received a number of updates and features to allow for a better user experience. Both have received full GPU acceleration for Lens Correction and Transform adjustments, and eGPU powered Enhanced Details for macOS Catalina. Users who utilize modern systems should see a faster processing thanks to the new updates.

Classic Raw features improved default raw settings, giving photographers the ability to choose from an expanded list of presets. Users will be able to set presets to open when Raw detects specific equipment as well.

The Windows and Mac versions of Lightroom have received improvements to metadata handling. Users who contribute photos to albums owned by someone else can now choose to include or omit photo metadata. Owners of shared albums are now able to export photos from other users.

The Lightroom cloud ecosystem has been updated today, with updates for Windows & Mac (4.0), iOS & Android (6.0) and Web. (Lightroom Classic has also been updated.)

System Requirements

The system requirements have been updated.

The minimum Windows 10 supported is v1903 or later.

The minimum macOS now supported is 10.14 (Mojave).

RAM has also increased to a minimum of 8GB, with a recommendation of 16GB.

Color Grading

The big news in this release is the new Color Grading feature. It replaces and expands upon the previous Split Toning controls, allowing much finer control.

In addition to the pre-existing Hue and Saturation controls for Highlights and Shadows, you can now also apply a tint to the Midtones, and you can play with the Luminance of each tint. The existing Balance slider remains, and it's now joined by a Blending Battlegrounds pc build. slider, which controls how much the tones blend into each other. Color Grading is still fully compatible with your old Split Toning settings and presets, you just have to set Blending to 100 to replicate the old Split Toning effect.

Whereas the White Balance and HSL tools are primarily used for color correction, Color Grading is designed for color effects, such as those frequently used by video editors.

Read all about the new color grading direct from the lead engineer, Max Wendt, on Adobe's blog.

Graphic Watermarks

You can now add your own graphical watermark or signature as a PNG file, and it's automatically synced to the Windows, Mac, iOS and Android apps.

Zoom enhancements

Zooming is now more flexible and instead of fixed percentages, if you click on the downward arrow next to 100% in the toolbar underneath the photo, you can select different percentages. Fit, of course, fits the entire photo into the preview area.

There are two new Zoom tools—Box Zoom and Scrubby Zoom.

Hold the Ctrl (Windows) / Cmd (Mac) key to show the Box Zoom cursor and click and drag on the image to draw a rectangular marquee. Lightroom zooms in to fill the preview area with the selected area of the photo.

Auto Versions

Lightroom now automatically saves a Version when you move to a different photo when using an Edit tool, in addition to the Named Versions that were added in the last release. https://trueifile258.weebly.com/vinyl-record-mockup.html.

Best Photos (iOS/Android/Web)

Best Photos is an Adobe Sensei-based artificial intelligence which analyzes your photos and tries to figure out which it thinks are your best photos. It's been available as a tech preview on Android and Web for some time, but it's now been improved and brought to iOS too.

Selective Auto Add (Android)

On the Android app, you can now choose whether to automatically Import from all locations, or select specific device folders for Auto Add.

Updated Desktop Photos Panel

The left handle panel of the Windows/Mac apps has been updated, with the buttons disappearing from the left hand toolbar and the panels being combined into a single long scrolling panel. You'll still find everything quite easily!

Updated Desktop Shortcuts

The shortcuts for Edit in Photoshop, Export and the new Export with Previous Settings have been updated, so we've updated our Shortcuts table, which is a free download.

New Camera Support

When a new camera is released, standardized formats such as JPEG, TIFF and DNG are supported immediately. Proprietary raw file formats are not standardized, so they must be individually added in a Lightroom release. Most cameras are supported within 2-3 months of their release. Raw file format support has been added in this release for:

  • Fujifilm X-S10
  • Panasonic LUMIX DC-S5
  • Sony A7s III (ILCE-7SM3)
  • Sony A7C (ILCE-7C) (preliminary support)
